VOLUNTEER WITH US
WHBC relies on volunteers within the club and local basketball community to ensure our players and their families have the best basketball experience possible.
Below are areas that are always in need of volunteers to ensure that we can continue to operate our basketball club.

COACHES & TEAM MANAGERS
Simply put, if a team does not have a Coach or Team Manager, we cannot run the season. WHBC Coordinators typically liaise with parents to fill these roles however we are open to other player family members or members of the wider basketball community to get involved.

No experience is necessary, and we have resources to help upskill volunteers in these positions. All that is required is a valid Working With Children Check in accordance with the Basketball Victoria Child Safe Standards.
JOIN OUR COMMITTEE
Our Committee is 100% volunteer-based and all roles are critical to the functioning of the club.
Woodend Hawks Basketball Club administration is thankfully not overly onerous. We meet once a month and we balance the workload amongst committee members as required.
