Woodend Hawks Basketball Club
2025 Winter Junior Domestic Season

To enable us to prepare for the season ahead, we ask that you complete your registration in PlayHQ by Sunday 23rd March 2025 by clicking the Register Now button below.

Please note that late registrations will not be accepted, be that from existing or new players. All requests for registration, post the cut-off date, will be placed on a waitlist and players will be allocated to teams only if team sizes permit.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The Winter season commences on Saturday 3rd May 2025.

The club registration fee for the season is $215. PlayHQ will apply an additional Basketball Victoria insurance fee of $32 and a Basketball Australia Game Development Levy of $5.50 for players that have not paid the fee previously, or have not paid these fees within the last 12 months. 

Players registering for the U21 Boys competition will be subject to an additional fee of $85, bringing their total registration fee to $300. This additional amount covers the door entry fee for our players, parents and friends who wish to attend the game. Fees will no longer be collected on game day for U21s. SBA are trialling this model and if successful it will be implemented across all age groups for the Summer 2025/26 season.

Per the clubs selection policy, existing players will receive priority selection into teams. New to club/waitlisted players will be allocated to teams depending on team sizes.

New players requiring uniform (Singlet and Shorts) or Existing players requiring a new size, need to order and pay for their uniform order during the registration process. Club Hoodies (optional) can also be ordered. Please ensure you select the appropriate size from the size guides and ensure you add the product to your order. Any questions about sizing can be directed to the clubs uniform coordinator, Helen, by texting or calling 0433 698 476. Pickup details will be advised closer to the season start date.

Registration fees and uniform costs are payable at time of registration, with instalment plans now available. Families of three or more will be offered a refund of 50% off the third and subsequent childs registration fee.

Age groups for the Winter season are:
  • Under 10: Born 2016 & 2017 (Boys & Girls)
  • Under 12: Born 2014 & 2015 (Boys & Girls)
  • Under 14: Born 2012 & 2013 (Boys & Girls)
  • Under 16: Born 2010 & 2011 (Boys & Girls)
  • Under 18: Born 2008 & 2009 (Boys)
  • Under 19: Born 2007, 2008 & 2009 (Girls)
  • Under 21: Born 2005, 2006 & 2007 (Boys)

Coaches and Team Managers are required for all teams so if you can assist please let us know - see below for further information.

Games are played on a Saturday with the exception of the U21 Boys competition which will be played on a Sunday night. Training sessions of one hour will be on a weeknight with times dependant on coach availability. Coaches will communicate these details once teams are announced and coaches appointed to each team.

As a community based club, we rely on the support of parents to volunteer as Coaches and Team Managers. Without these roles being filled, we will not be able to enter a team.
